You can help MECT save special places in Manchester and Essex and promote environmental learning in several ways:

• Become a member.  We offer a range of giving options.  All new members receive a copy of our trail map and newsletter.  All contributions are tax-deductible.

Annual memberships ensure solid support for land stewardship, education outreach to schools and youth groups, and member services.  Just send us an e-mail at conserve@mect.org, or write to us at the address below, and we'll provide you with a membership envelope.

• Send us an extra contribution for whatever aspect of our work most appeals to you--land acquisition, land management and protection, educational projects, or all of MECT's undertakings.  Such funds allow us to save more environmentally sensitive lands, study them more closely, and spread this knowledge to more children and adults.

• Volunteer a bit of your free time and talents to help with our work.  We depend largely on the volunteer efforts of many caring persons.  Join one of our committees, such as land acquisition, land stewardship, community outreach.  Or help with newsletter production or mailings.  Volunteer work is the best way to learn what land conservation involves.  Your time commitment can be tailored to your needs.

In time, you might even want to become a trustee!  It is a three-year commitment that many of your fellow townspeople have accepted and enjoyed.

• If you own land of conservation interest, we'd be happy to provide you with information that would assist you in planning for its future.
